Charlemagne, Quebec
Charlemagne is an off-island suburb of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is located on the north shore of the Rivière des Prairies, 24 kilometres (15 mi) northeast of Montreal's downtown core. As of 2006, the population was 5,594.
It is the birthplace of singer Céline Dion, after whom it has named one of its main streets (without the approval of the Commission de toponymie du Québec [1]) and to whom it has raised a large monument. Charlemagne is also the birthplace of politician Camille Laurin
