Canadian Aerial Open and Championship

Exactly one week after Val Saint-Come hosted the FIS Freestyle Ski world Cup for mogul skiers, the ski resort welcomed aerialists form around the world for the Canadian Aerial Open and Championship.

Here Lewis Irving shows off his style competing at Val Saint-Come. Aerialists haven't performed in an International event on Canadian soil since a World Cup was hosted in Val Saint-Come in 2014.

Russia aerials ski team

The Russian aerials ski team are practicing at Val Saint-Come in the Lanaudiere region of Quebec, for the Canadian open Aerials to be held on January 30th at Val Saint-Come.

FIS World Cup moguls

Spend part of the day at Val Saint-Come shooting the practice run for Corbis, at the same time I have added a few new images to my collection as well.. Motoki Skikata of Japan's men's moguls team at the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup event at Val Saint-Come, Quebec.

Winter flooding

It is usually in the spring that I get to covers floods. But today in mid-January I got a call from my newspaper that there where residents in Rawdon being evacuated because of flooding.

 

Chunks of ice blocking the river cause the river to raise onto residents properties. Water from the river was running across the road, officials worried the road could wash out, so resident where evacuated as a preventive measure.

Saler cattle

Saler cattle is considered to be one of the oldest European breeds. Salers where first imported into Canada in 1972. Until modern times, Saler cattle where not only breed for livesotck, but as milk producers for cheese products and where also used to pull implements on the farm.
