Springtime subjects

Springtime brings new photo subjects, and spring floods is one of them. This year was no exception, with lots of rain and melting snow saw water levels raise in many areas.

Covering floods means trying to figure out which spots will offer the best photo opportunities.

Spring photography

Many of the scenes I capture are only accessible by foot. It may be April 13, but I still need my snowshoes to head out to the lake to get some fresh photos of the newly arrived Canada Geese.

Waiting for the geese to arrive.

Once the snow starts to leave, I wait impatiently for the arrival of the first geese of the season. This photo was shot last year on April 25th, so I still have a few days to wait to catch this years flock.
